Health-Related Websites Are the HOTTEST Online Businesses
It's true! Even though you might think there are too many health and diet-related websites, they are the HOTTEST business opportunities right now. Some folks have started automatic websites that are fully loaded and ready for your affiliate links. You WILL still have to pick a domain name and learn how to promote it - like everything else online. Find out more.
3 Clicks to Cash - and Other TV Infomercials - BEWARE!
We see the best sales pitches on infomercials, don't we? Well, I think Jeff's "3 Clicks to Cash" system needs an independent review.
Sure, it may cost less than $40 to get the initial CD's, so you may be tempted to give it a try, especially when that babe with her beautiful cleavage is smiling at you and telling you how EASY it is - to make hundreds or thousands of dollars with almost no work. "Just count the money rolling in." Yeah, right - NOT!
There is a catagory of "scams" that may not really be scams, but they are presented with such misleading information about how easy it is. The costs (and SKILLS) for marketing your website are the biggie here. It may be a few clicks to build your website, but there are tens of millions of websites selling products online, and without advertisement considerations, you get NOTTA.
Becoming an Internet Marketer is another skill that you will have to acquire, no matter WHAT you sell. And there will be costs involved. You need a marketing budget and a marketing plan too. You NEED marketing skills to get traffic to your website or your initial costs and time are a waste.
Oh, don't worry, they may say. These people are probably also offering to teach you how to get traffic to your website. Ask them what the costs are for their advertising systems, which they probably sell you later - at a HUGE cost compared to your initial cash output.
Other systems in this category include:
SMS - selling knicknacks online is not very profitable, especially via eBay
EBay Profits Systems - I first started with Dave Espino's kit, but there is WAY more involved than he suggests on his infomercials. AND then my son got sucked in before I knew it. He spent $30+ dollars a month. The guy on the phone told him he could sell anything from his website, but that wasn't true. He wanted to sell muscle building supplements. They don't sell them - they are only offering a limited number of electronics and tools (old models) via their dropshipping system (and making more profit that you!)
Radio Ads - ok, I can't remember the name - it was something like "Easy2Profit" or some such. It sounded like that same "3 clicks to cash" kind of deal. They will send you some "FREE" CD's which explain all about their "miracle" system that anybody can make easy residual income for almost NO work.
My warning here is that these advertisements are targetting the people that don't know any better. With these media campaigns, they are more likely to find guillible people that want to quit their jobs or earn more money and WANT TO believe in these ridiculous promises.
Persuasive sales campaigns like these really scare me the most because so many people think that if you see it on TV or hear it on the radio, it must be true. Don't be fooled! There is WAY more to earning a residual income online than that.
There is a GOOD reason that 95% of people fail at online businesses. They are misled from the get go, and then they give up.
What is the Google Cash Machine?
Got an email that I had to check out recently. It promoted the Google Cash Machine like it was the best thing since sliced bread. Read my review here.
TINYURL Warning - What is a tinyurl?
A tinyurl is a service to cloak links. Whenever I see a tinyurl, I cringe. If you have to hide a domain's real name or a long string attached to it, you are tricking someone, aren't you?
Anyone can use a cloaking service or redirect to hide the link from visitors. When I have clicked through a tinyurl, in particular, I have found a lot of scams. But, some are just short affiliate links...
If you believe in what you sell, I think you should be up front with it. So, that being said:
READ This NEW Warning for Affiliate Marketers:
|
I have become doubtful about the success of affiliate marketing, which I have invested over 2 years in now following Rosalind Gardner's system.
While affiliate marketing is easier than selling a product directly, it seems visitors avoid clicking through recommendation "hop" links. If they like the products, they try to go directly to a recommended website. They read the product information, but they are not loyal to the promoter - as proven by the need to cloak links.
I did some more digging too. My research proved most of the affiliate websites started a while ago are now gone - just plain GONE. Apparently many Affiliate marketers have given up, as I found by going through old forum posts and contacting some of the webmasters.
I also asked for independent opinions from Internet shoppers. Most do not want to click through links to get to the website they want to shop at. I heard, they "don't trust them".
My own experience is a sad one as I have used this model for most of my websites. In spite of decent traffic from my content (and games), there has been very little profit in my affiliate sites, as my trusted expert, Derek Gehl, projected "flea market sites don't sell". (I confess, Derek - you were right!)
I am trying out other ideas on my websites now. Please think about this confession as you decide how you want to make money online. I am now studying some other successful affiliate marketers and trying their ideas. I'll throw some updates here as the results come in.
I think the niche (and products) you select is more important than I earlier realized. Derek Gehl and IEC recommends you to drill down on the niche and specialize on a few strong keywords. Provide benefits and, of course, make an exceptional offer.
