Question 1: Do you have Creative Ideas and Time to work on your e-business?

Question 2: Do you have a credit card? Even if you don't have much startup capital, you can start your home-based business with a credit line of a few hundred dollars, especially if you already have a good PC and a high-speed Internet connection. Really, you can get started for about $25.00. Save the rest for "marketing"!

So, here's what I told my 37-year-old son, a carpenter, about starting his own Internet Business.

They are usually in the form of email campaigns that use hard-sell tactics to offer their products to you, often without enough explanations to know what their offerings will even do for you. Like all estore owners, I had a Merchant Payment Processing Account and there ARE regular fees, meaning somebody makes money - regularly. But it wasn't right for me, or for my son.

Internet Marketing IS the KEY to Profits

The strong advertising campaign introducing that Merchant Processing system did not even say what the business was. I hate that. Overall, it left a bad taste in my mouth. I knew the way to entice customers for Merchant Processing was just like the rest of the businesses. You make an investment in your sales and support network and HOPE you can get enough clients to make your investment profitable. That is the hard part!

Much of the information and "testimonials" I found researching Internet Business offers include High-Pressure sales tactics. While I don't like them, THEY DO WORK! Yeah, it's true! Good marketing campaigns can sell most anything you can think of today, and the Internet gives you all kinds of ways to present yourself. And why anyone can do it too.

Marketing is used for direct sales Internet Stores and Auctions, Selling Information Products, and in Affiliate Marketing. When you market your product, you know right away if you have a winning formula.

How to Decide What Internet Business is "Right for You"

So, how do you figure out what to "sell" to "make money" on the Internet? Where do you start? What should you focus on each day until you do "make money on the Internet"?

Oh, yeah - there are MANY Internet Income opportunities. There are also many methods that might not work well - anymore. They might just have been "done to death". The trick is to select what REALLY sells NOW - AND what works for YOU - your skills, your interests, and face it - your limited cash, credit, and time.
