Selling Information over the Internet is HOT!

Information can be "packaged/sold" as an e-book (usually this is a PDF file nowadays), or CD's of audio, video, or other PC files, or as a DVD video. You may even want to create a magazine or printed materials that you can ship to your customer.

You can also get a license to sell others' information products, or sell public domain information. You might not expect to find a market for something you got for free, or next to nothing. Wrong! Again, it's all in the Marketing!

You have probably seen some clever promotions of "how to do almost anything" e-books, subscription sites, downloadable media files, like videos and MP3's. Sometimes Information kits or packages are "shipped to you" so, as an author, you could still be managing physical products, ordering, and shipping. Many information products are sold through Affiliate marketing. Here the type of Internet Business can become fuzzy. Sure your website could sell your own information products, those you write or co-author and publish, etc. You can also effectively market other people's information products and sell them with affiliate links and get commissions. Clickbank is clearly the King of Information Products, and there are others too, like ebooks.com. Many successful affiliates rave about the potential of marketing downloadable products they found on Clickbank.

If you wanted to use the Yanik Silver method, you could signup to be a Clickbank affiliate right now. Then select a great product and a few similar bonus products, use the EASY Webmaster System to build your 2-3 page website based on those products, write a great sales promotion like those in Yanik's InstantSalesLetters, and start marketing.

Then there are those who say you can just market any Information Product via email campaigns, that's if you have a list, of targetted potential customers. Or you can just use PPC campaigns. I spent more than a few AdSense dollars trying that and wasn't happy with MY results. Maybe my heart wasn't in it....

If you want an easy way to sell your own information product, you can use Clickbank as your shopping cart on your own website. Then you may find that you get affiliates selling it for you on autopilot - if it's REALLY GOOD. Then Clickbank takes care of paying them commissions, and paying you the rest, except their percentage, of course. Still, makes selling your first few ebooks a breeze. Expect to pay about $50 to Clickbank to register your ebook in their MarketPlace "bank" (catalog database).

Do you THINK these are "too good to be true"? I could set up these really easy myself and try to market to the "churn", the newbies who don't want to learn, just make money. They will ALL be disappointed.

I hope to STOP the MADNESS with this website, and teach those that want a real Internet Business what is involved. Basically, IT IS MARKETING! And it's not cheap, and it's not that easy. It's a whole NEW skill for many and there is a LOT of competition. There are too many people online who just want to grab all the easy money by promising easy riches with little effort.
