AWAI Copywriting
I have a long history with the American Writers and Artists Institute. I took their copywriting course some years ago and learned many valuable lessons about writing effective ad copy when I first started Internet Marketing.
Michael Masterson authored the concise course "Accelerated Program for Six-Figure Copywriting". He and his associates at AWAI are all experts in Internet Marketing and teach and mentor in Internet Business strategy and success.
Their team published an ezine named Early To Rise, or ETR. It had useful free tips about marketing, investing, and oddly, health. Many AWAI associates contribute articles and joint venture each others wares, which is the norm for this industry. All are certainly well-respected in this field and are all on my RECOMMENDED list.
A common philosophy within this team does seem to be "you get what you pay for". And thus, their seminars and programs are in the high-cost range (over $1000). This certainly does not imply they are too expensive. They claim that high cost adds credibility and ensures their customers are truly serious.
While I have not purchased other products from this team, I enjoyed my weekly ETR ezine for years. Thank you Michael Masterson, Bob Bly, Patrick Coffey, Jon Herring, Katie Yeakle, and the rest for your regular inspiration.
Michael Masterson has recently (Aug.2008) started another list, to which he "invited" his former ETR members to join. He's calling his new ezine "Ready Fire Aim" - the Michael Masterson Dispatch.
I appreciated his reminding me, once again, of "The Power of One" in his recent message. If you are struggling with your IM business profitability, you may be focusing on too much - too many benefits, too many options, too many bonuses...
Michael Masterson suggests that people are most interested in purchasing when ONE strong idea, ONE product, ONE proven benefit and ONE clear solution are presented simply and convincingly. The more on the page or in the email, the more confusing it will be to decide.
I'll be making a few more changes to my websites, I guess... (But I'll still rant here...)
